Shorebird / Box Clever / 2023

A collaborative effort between Box Clever, Box Garden Ventures, and Shorebird, the Shorebird Beach chair is a premium product designed with the environment at the top of mind. Utilizing natural materials and frame components shaped to limit wood waste, the form of this chair is a result of it’s impact, even the arm and rope system. Utilizing a rope and cleat system, users can recline and fold up smoothly between any position.

A focus on simple, repairable construction through 3 basic sub-assemblies and a focus on sustainability with replaceable fabric made of 100% natural fiber or recycled materials.

As a designer I was responsible for  Sketching, CAD, Prototyping, Hardware Specification, and CMF under the leaderships of Bret Recor and Jesse Madsen
