Echoing a woodland campfire seen from afar, with shadows and light bouncing off the trees and ground without a clear source, Falo illuminates surrounding spaces with a recessed light, reflecting its illumination from vertical and angled shades. Focusing on a simple and honest material that makes up its exterior, deburred and bent sheet aluminum houses the warm light at the heart of the piece. 

 

Ideal for placement in corners or near low seating and surfaces, directional, yet soft light creates a sense of comfort and closeness to an interior space. Bringing the warmth and comfort of a small fire, Falo intends to create gathering places for close moments and conversations within the home.

 

Joined with stainless steel bolts and nuts, no part of the joinery is hidden to the human eye. Embracing simple processes applied to common source materials and components, Falo is intended to be made as easily as possible, democratizing its own manufacturing for increased accessibility and visibility.
